Currently in pre-production, this Broadway hit won the Pulitzer prize for drama for Cuban-American author Nilo Cruz. Set in a Tampa, Florida cigar factory in 1929, this story portrays the worker's lives as they encounter love and anguish amidst sweltering heat. The workers become divided when a new lector is hired to relieve the tedium of the work who in so doing, sparks a great deal of controversy.
